Hydrate Remediation for Deepwater Production System
A deepwater offshore operator experienced an unplanned production disruption due to a hydrate plug within critical subsea hardware. The blockage posed significant operational and safety risks, with the potential for prolonged shutdown and production losses. The client required a specialist intervention partner capable of managing technical complexity, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and executing the remediation safely and efficiently.
Treva Consulting working its partner, RMC, delivered a fully integrated subsea hydrate remediation solution, combining technical expertise, risk governance, and execution management.
The client achieved a safe and timely resolution to a critical flow assurance issue, avoiding extended shutdown and significant financial impact. Our integrated approach to hydrate remediation demonstrated our ability to manage complex, high-risk subsea interventions while maintaining strict safety, schedule, and operational assurance standards.
